Worked with Danny Duncan for a long time, creating thumbnails built to stop the scroll, fit his chaotic entertainment style and increase click potential through strong visual packaging.

The Goal
Create thumbnails that feel native to Danny Duncan’s brand while making each video instantly more clickable on mobile.
The focus was simple:
make the idea clear fast
create curiosity in one glance
keep the image clean and emotionally strong
The Approach
Every thumbnail was designed around one core question the viewer could understand immediately.
Instead of adding too much text, I used:
strong facial emotion
clear focal points
bold objects or action
high contrast for mobile feeds
simple storytelling that works in under a second
The goal was not to over design.
The goal was to make the packaging feel real, clickable, and aligned with Danny’s content style.

Design Principles
Composition
Built around one dominant focal point so the eye lands on the main idea instantly.
Contrast

Kept important elements large and away from the bottom-right timestamp area.
Psychology
Used emotion, danger, humor, tension and curiosity gaps to make the viewer stop and click.
The Result
This project produced a body of thumbnail work across Danny Duncan videos that reached millions of views and helped strengthen the packaging across his channel.
The strongest outcome was consistency.
Not just one good thumbnail but a repeatable system that worked across multiple concepts, locations and video styles.
