Press play is a film society that prides themselves on being a space where lovers of movies can come together and talk and share there love for movies and theater. Press play would often host movie marathons where people of a particular franchise can come together and enjoy the franchise they love so much.

I was approached by them and asked to create a logo and poster for there upcoming marathon of all of the Studio Ghibli movies for both print and digital use.

We went with some lively colors that really popped, standing out from the usual event palette. We wanted to keep things chill and make it look effortlessly cool, setting a casual vibe that's still totally put together.

During the logo brainstorming process, I extensively studied various typography styles to ensure the creation of a memorable design with the potential for motion for the poster. After thorough exploration, I settled on a minimalist logo concept. After this, my focus shifted to exploring ways to seamlessly incorporate motion into this simple yet impactful design.
