Finding a job in tech stinks.

Endless black hole applications. Resume-farms. Recruiters that ghost you. ‍ It's a lot to keep track of. How do you know you're joining a good company? How do you know you'll be paid fairly?

Enter Grindstone. A bootstrapped startup.

We got the opportunity to help to help Grindstone build their vision for fixing this process from the ground up. This was a 0-1 build. Everything was built from scratch by us.
Their first step in this process was validating their idea. To do that we built them a website based on their concept and ran facebook ads to drive traffic to their site.
Do people even want this? Will they signup for the waitlist? What was the result?

Results

We ran ads for 60 days. - The Facebook ads had a 2.86% click though rate (.90% is standard) - Of those 882 who clicked, 23% signed up for the waitlist. (amazing) - 203 users signed up total. - Our total ad spend was $538.81
Which brings our cost for each waitlist signup to only $2.65
The Future?
Grindstone is still working to build their MVP. But, when they're ready to launch we can make a few assumptions on how that looks.
Let's say that they run no more ads at all, and get no more signups. If we assume 10-20% of the current waitlist customers convert to paid (industry standard) then that's 20-40 customers. ‍ Oh and let's be conservative and say each customer is only on the lowest tier of $27/month. ‍ That comes out to a projected monthly gross revenue of $540-$1080. And a yearly revenue of $6480 - $12,960! Not bad for a few months of work.
