As Founder & CEO of Liisa, an AI startup, I spearheaded our fundraising efforts to secure a €170,000 Pre-Seed round, surpassing our initial target of €150,000. This success was underpinned by meticulous preparation and execution.

Our journey began with participation in an incubation program offered by a prominent European VC/Incubator. Here, we honed our skills, absorbing best practices vital for startup success.

Developing our Minimum Viable Product (MVP) was a pivotal step. This involved extensive market research, including interviewing hundreds of potential users to refine our product-market fit. We launched our fist MVP using Bubble.io, and later launched our beta, rebuilding our backed with Python,Node.JS and GCP.

To attract investors, we meticulously crafted a comprehensive data room, comprising a polished pitch deck, investor deck, executive summary, deal terms, cap table, and a robust financial model. Negotiating favorable deal terms was crucial, ensuring optimal terms for our startup.

Our fundraising efforts extended beyond mere documentation. We actively engaged with potential investors, pitching at events and startup showcases, garnering interest and securing signed Letters of Intent (LOIs) from interested parties.

Our success resonated beyond our own fundraising. Our pitch deck is now utilized as a case study at some of the largest startup incubators in Portugal, inspiring new founders in their Pre-Seed fundraising endeavors.
