Unboxed: A Walk Through the History of Sneakers, was a concept for a museum exhibit that I designed. I used two indoor wall displays, an outdoor mural, and interactive narrative literature that I displayed through several small shoe-shaped cards that were to be collected throughout the exhibit and kept in a small designed shoebox given to each guest. Within this project, I sought to create an exhibit that was inviting in design, informative and engaging through layout and narrative literature, and remained relevant and cohesive. The design choices I made, such as the colors and type, were intentional and inviting to all groups of people to enjoy this exhibit. The walk-through of the exhibit was informative and well displayed yet was not an overwhelming amount of information. Instead, I left any larger pieces of history to the narrative literature. And finally, the choice of topic was relevant as were the subjects I chose to be covered within the topic. The project remained cohesive in design throughout the entire process.
