Shopify E-commerce Website for FEEL - Emotional Well-Being Ring
FEEL needed more than just an online store. They were launching a product that most people don't even know exists yet—a ring that tracks your emotional well-being. That means the website had to educate before it could sell.
I built their entire Shopify storefront from the ground up, focusing on two things: making the complex tech feel approachable, and removing every possible barrier between "I'm curious" and "I'm buying."
Design & Development
Started with custom Shopify templates and Liquid development to create a site that felt premium but didn't overwhelm visitors. Clean layouts, lots of breathing room, and thoughtful use of product imagery that showed the ring in real life, not just studio shots.
Built the frontend with performance in mind—lightweight HTML, CSS, and JavaScript that loads fast even on slower connections. E-commerce sites lose customers every second they take to load, so I optimized everything: compressed images, minified code, and used lazy loading for content below the fold.
Content Strategy
This was critical because nobody searches "emotional tracking ring"—they don't know it exists. I built a scalable content system with keyword-rich educational articles explaining stress tracking, emotional awareness, and wellness technology.
Each article is optimized for search but written for humans. The goal was to catch people researching stress management or wellness tools, educate them on why tracking emotions matters, then naturally introduce FEEL as the solution.
Conversion Features
Added a persistent add-to-cart button that follows you down the page. Sounds simple, but it's a conversion game-changer. When someone's reading about the product halfway down a long page and decides they want it, the buy button is right there—no scrolling back up, no hunting.
Implemented a flexible preorder system because FEEL was launching in waves. Customers could reserve their ring even when inventory was sold out, keeping momentum going instead of losing interested buyers to "out of stock" dead ends.
Built scroll-linked animations that activate as you move through the page. Subtle stuff—product details fading in, specifications sliding into view—just enough to keep the experience engaging without being distracting or slowing performance.
Technical Highlights
Custom Liquid templating for flexible page layouts. Optimized Shopify theme for speed—PageSpeed scores in the 90s even with rich imagery and animations. Responsive design that works flawlessly on every device. SEO-optimized content architecture with proper schema markup. Integrated email capture and abandoned cart recovery flows.
Result
FEEL launched with a store that positions them as a premium wellness tech brand, not just another gadget. The educational content strategy started driving organic traffic within weeks. The persistent cart and preorder system kept conversion rates high even during inventory constraints.
More importantly, the site does what it needed to do: makes an unfamiliar product category feel accessible and worth investing in.
