Website Roaster: AI Critique Tool

I wanted to see how fast I could build a useful AI product. The concept: paste your website URL, get a brutally honest critique of everything wrong with it. Not a Lighthouse score. A roast. With personality.

Went from idea to live product in 48 hours. It worked. People used it. So I kept building.

User submits a URL. The frontend sends it to an n8n webhook that orchestrates the full analysis pipeline: scraping, content extraction, AI evaluation against CRO, UX, and SEO criteria. Results come back through Supabase real-time subscriptions, so the loading screen updates live.

The loading screen has rotating messages with personality. "The SEO Expert just shouted Mamma mia." "The UX Designer is breathing into a paper bag." People screenshot these and share them. Free marketing.

The free tier gives you one AI persona (the Roastmaster) with a score, top issues, and quick fixes. The $27 Pro tier unlocks four more: a CRO Expert, an SEO Analyst, a UX Designer, and the Empath (buyer psychology). Each persona has a unique illustrated character and provides a separate analysis with sub-scores and specific recommendations.

Free roast captures an email. That's the lead gen. The premium upsell happens naturally: you see the free analysis and want to know what the other four experts would say. Stripe checkout, n8n triggers the premium analysis, results delivered by email within two hours.

The site is bilingual (English and French) with automatic language detection. Localized copy, not just translated.
