Anyplace helps first-time renters navigate the transition into independent living by making the search for a home feel more manageable.
The rental search can feel overwhelming, especially when someone is a first-time renter. Listings provide information, but the renter is also trying to make important decisions: where to live and what they can afford, and what amenities they want to have.
Anyplace should recognize both sides of that experience.
Functional need: Find a suitable home within a realistic budget and preferred location.
Emotional need: Feel capable, understood, and excited about the move.
Trust need: Understand the options and feel informed enough to take the next step. The opportunity should make the experience feel more human while helping people make a practical decision.
Searching for an apartment can feel transactional. Listings focus on price, location, and availability, while the personal significance of finding a place to call home often gets lost.
I wanted to explore a different approach to the experience. Rather than treating apartment hunting as a purely functional task, Anyplace was designed around the person making the move.
The challenge was to develop an identity that could communicate warmth and optimism without sacrificing the clarity and trust people need when making a major housing decision.
