Tales of Khayaal

Tales of Khayaal is a Muslim fantasy novel — written with heart, rooted in faith, and imagined for this moment by Rehan Khan and Peter Gould.

Co-creators @petergouldart and @rehankhanauthor @talesofkhayaal are drawn by the metaphysical act of khayaal, a form of spiritual imagination within the Islamic tradition.

Over several years, their shared vision was developed into a crafted universe full of unique lore, layered stories and adventures with memorable characters exploring timely themes. The creative development process has involved contributions from a gifted global team of inspiring artists, creatives and designers, supported by @gouldstudio and a community of like-hearted friends and fans. Tales of Khayaal has a long-term mission to inspire millions of hearts with virtue-based storytelling as a wholesome, globally-loved creative brand through a book series, comics, films and video games, God-willing.

My Role: Web Design & Development

Timeline: 3 Weeks (September 2025)

Tales of Khayaal also launched a Reading Circle, to foster the love of reading in your community, with Tales of Khayaal Reading Circles. Learn together, share and rediscover the joy of wholesome fiction.

With a focus on visual storytelling and launch strategy, I contributed to designing and developing a compelling digital presence that helped propel the book to top-seller status in Ingram Spark's Fantasy - Action & Adventure category, competing against over 100,000 global titles and reaching readers worldwide.

Working on this website allowed me to explore my own khayaal (Imagination) that reflects the world-building of the story, and I personally had fun reading the book as well!
