LumiCup is a US-based sustainable drinkware brand on a mission to replace single-use plastic cups with endlessly recyclable aluminum. Their cups keep drinks 70% cooler than plastic and can go from recycling bin back to retail shelf in just 60 days. The brand had an existing Shopify store but had outgrown it. A refined Figma design was ready, and the task was to rebuild the storefront in Liquid to match it, without disrupting what was already live.

The existing store no longer reflected where LumiCup had taken the brand. The design had moved forward but the storefront hadn't kept up. They needed a developer who could take a detailed Figma file and rebuild it faithfully in Shopify Liquid, while keeping the store running throughout the process. The new storefront also had to feel intentional and mission-driven, not just visually refreshed, and it needed to give the client full control through the Shopify Theme Editor once the work was done.

The existing theme was replaced with a fully custom Liquid build based on the Figma designs. Every section was rebuilt as a modular, Theme Editor-friendly block, so the client could manage content without touching code post-launch.

Custom Liquid sections developed for the redesign included:

Product feature grid highlighting the aluminum-vs-plastic value proposition

Mission/story section carrying the "conscious without compromise" narrative

Product cards with variant support across cup sizes

Social proof / press strip for media mentions and sustainability credentials

Custom collection layout with clean filtering

The redesigned storefront finally matches where LumiCup is as a brand. It's cleaner, faster, and built to grow with them. The modular Liquid architecture means the team can update content, reorder sections, and expand the store as the product line develops, all from within Shopify's native Theme Editor with no code required.
