Project goal: restore steady organic traffic and improve rankings for local medical queries.
The initial audit revealed systemic issues hurting rankings:
Indexing was misconfigured: robots.txt / sitemap.xml were not aligned
Duplicate and templated Title / Meta Description
Unstructured heading hierarchy (multiple H1 tags and missing H2–H3 )
Images without ALT tags and not optimized for WebP
SEO plugin installed but left on default settings
Weak internal linking between service and informational pages
the site looked fine visually, but search engines couldn’t understand its structure and topical relationships, limiting growth.
We executed targeted on-page SEO — with no redesign or layout changes:
Fixed indexing, updated sitemap.xml and robots.txt
Rewrote Title + Meta Description with a strong local & medical focus (e.g., “wound care nyc”, “leg ulcer treatment near me”)
Restored a proper SEO-friendly H1 → H3 hierarchy
Optimized images (compression, WebP, manual ALT tags)
Added contextual internal links across service and info pages
Prepared a semantic keyword plan for future content publishing
(19 days after implementation)
Site re-crawled with zero indexing errors
The search query “wound care nyc” improved from #24 → #13
The search query “leg ulcer treatment nyc” started appearing in the Local Pack
Organic traffic +21% — without ads or backlinks
