Developed a Mac Authentication Management Application (MAMA), which was adopted by major hotels and airports across the UK to provide Wi-Fi access.
I was consulted by Arqiva to provide develop a new Wi-Fi device authentication management application. New system improved existing Wi-Fi service stability, ensured scalability, extended the product proposition, monitoring and reporting capabilities. Following the update, Arqiva Wi-Fi won/extended contracts with a number of airports (Heathrow, Edinburgh, Glasgow), hotels (Travelodge, Premier Inn), restaurants, pubs and other retail chains, including public Wi-Fi in local councils for major UK cities.
I've designed the database, APIs, setup and maintained the servers. I have prepared the frontend development guidelines and introduced Wiki (Confluence), CI (Bamboo, Travis CI, Coveralls) and bug tracking (Jira) into the development environment. I have introduced principals of OOCSS, CSS pre-processors, developed and standardised common UI components across all the sites (form validation, error handling, etc). I have taught the accessibility requirements.
I've developed Wi-Fi landing pages for London Heathrow, Glasgow Airport, Edinburgh Airport, West Cornwall Pasty Company and StreetWiFi pages. These pages have set the development guidelines for Premier Inn, Travelodge and other future developments. I've taken initiative to manage, design and develop in house Wi-Fi products, e.g. StreetWiFi (over 3000 access points across London).
