Post-Merger Integration of Procurement and Supply Chain Ops

Problem: Following a significant merger that occurred years earlier, two formerly separate organizations were still operating independently within their procurement and supply chain operations, causing logistical inefficiencies and duplication of efforts.
Actions: I initiated a series of stakeholder discussions, including interviews with department leaders and consultations with industry supply chain experts, to understand each organization's processes and challenges. Drawing from this, I designed an optimized organizational structure that integrated both procurement and supply chain functions to create a unified, efficient system. I oversaw the change management strategy, ensuring teams were equipped with the necessary training and resources to adapt to new processes.
Results: The integration led to streamlined operations, reduced costs, and improved resource allocation. Teams began to collaborate more effectively, fostering a cohesive culture that supported continuous process improvement.
