🎯 Project Overview

As Senior Communications Coordinator at UNITECNAR, I led the transformation of the university’s communications and digital marketing ecosystem, with a strong focus on access to education, student enrollment growth, and institutional positioning.
UNITECNAR is a private university with campuses across the Colombian Caribbean, committed to providing affordable higher education to students from socioeconomic strata 1, 2, and 3, including young graduates and working adults. Its mission centers on education as a tool for social mobility, offering professional, technical, and technological programs, flexible schedules (day, night, weekend), and strong ties to the corporate sector.
When I joined, the university had brand recognition locally but lacked a structured communications strategy, cohesive digital presence, and scalable enrollment systems.

Fragmented and inconsistent communications across campuses
No unified brand narrative or visual system
Heavy reliance on traditional media (radio, press, TV)
Minimal use of digital channels for student recruitment
No structured CRM or lead tracking system
Manual, inefficient call center and admissions workflows

Phase 1: Brand & Communications Audit

Evaluated existing messaging, visuals, and channels
Identified inconsistencies between campuses
Diagnosed gaps in digital presence and enrollment tracking

Phase 2: Brand Cohesion & Visual Strategy

Implemented a cohesive visual and editorial system
Shifted from text-heavy posts to video-first communication
Highlighted:

Built a centralized CRM, replacing Excel-based tracking

💬 Reflections

By telling student stories, structuring enrollment systems, and using data to guide decisions, communications became a driver of growth, not just a support function.
This project remains one of the most meaningful and impactful experiences of my career.
