Wow The Food – Dynamic Food Blog & Restaurant Reviews Website

WowTheFood.in is a food discovery and review platform designed to help food lovers find the best dining experiences. The goal of this project was to create an intuitive, visually appealing, and highly functional platform that makes discovering and reading restaurant reviews seamless.

As a Full Stack Developer, I built the website using WordPress with custom themes, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring that it is fully responsive, optimized for performance, and easy to manage.

✔ Effortless Content Publishing – Designed a custom template to allow quick publishing of new reviews. ✔ Enhanced Discoverability – Added filters to sort reviews by cuisine, location, and veg/non-veg preference. ✔ Integrated Google Maps API – Each review includes an embedded map for easy navigation to the restaurant. ✔ User Interaction & Engagement – Implemented a query form, sending responses directly to my email. ✔ Mobile-First & Performance Optimized – Ensured full responsiveness and fast loading times for the best user experience. ✔ Professional Design Approach – Created the entire wireframe, logo, and color scheme in Figma to maintain brand consistency.

✔ UI/UX Wireframing in Figma – Designed a structured layout with an appealing color palette and brand identity. ✔ WordPress Customization – Built a custom WordPress theme for flexibility and easy content management. ✔ Google Maps API Integration – Enhanced each review by embedding location-based maps. ✔ Smart Filtering System – Users can filter restaurants based on their food preferences and location. ✔ Contact & Query System – Added a query form where responses go directly to my email for instant interaction. ✔ Performance & SEO Optimizations – Compressed images, implemented lazy loading, and used caching for faster page speed.

This project was a perfect blend of design, development, and user experience strategy, creating a food discovery platform that not only helps users find great dining experiences but also ensures seamless navigation and interaction.
