The term "global warming" describes the gradual rise in the planet's average surface
temperature brought on by the atmospheric build-up of greenhouse gases. The
burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil, and natural gas), deforestation, and industrial processes, which release significant amounts of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, are some of the main human activities that contribute to this problem. The Earth is surrounded by greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide that work as a blanket to trap heat and prevent it from escaping into space.
