Rive Broadcast on the Led Court

Live at the 2026 EuroLeague Final Four, Four Interactive Games

Designed and engineered a suite of four interactive Rive games, First to Four, Tic Tac Toe, Motorola Challenge, and Etihad Shooting Challenge, for ASB GlassFloor (GlassCourt OS), in partnership with Adidas, Motorola & Etihad.
Broadcast on the arena's LED court and picked up by the live TV feed during the 2026 EuroLeague Final Four in Athens, running in real time with synchronized audio and a Unity-based interface.

01 · Introduction & goals

Developed a Rive production pipeline that standardized the creation of every interactive game, from initial concepts to final state machines, with data binding and logic/interaction ready as a baseline for every build.
Working from ASB GlassFloor's direction, the focus was on transforming sponsor concepts games into lightweight, real-time experiences with clear gameplay states, instant visual feedback, scalable animations at any resolution, and a modular architecture that enabled new branded game variants to launch in just a few days.

02 · Work process

Every game followed the same production backbone in Rive, from the first sketch to the final test on the court.

03 · The Games

Four playable experiences, each with its own mechanics, visual identity, and state machine: Adidas First to FourAdidas Tic Tac ToeMotorola Challenge, and Etihad Shooting Challenge, sharing the same architecture in Rive but solving different interaction challenges.

Adidas First to Four

A competitive shooting game for two players, with Adidas as sponsor. The orange and purple sides go head-to-head in Shot Progression mode, a sequence of positions they must work through. Each make activates its zone, triggers the shot animation, and advances the score, until a full streak sets off the confetti burst and the 'Wins' screen. All in real time on the arena's giant screen.

Adidas Tic Tac Toe

A mix of basketball and tic-tac-toe for two players, with Adidas as sponsor. To claim a square, you must make a shot, and the first to line up three wins. It plays in two modes: a central grid the player runs to in order to physically pick their square after making a shot, or mirrored grids under each hoop, where you shoot from the position of the square you want to claim.

Motorola Challenge

A head-to-head duel in an obstacle course with the Motorola brand. Each player dribbles along the line of their course, makes a shot, runs to the other side, and wins by making the second shot. The course can be projected onto the floor as a guide, and the match ends with the real prizes the winner takes home being revealed.

Etihad Shooting Challenge

A shooting duel for two players over a stylized map of Asia, with the Etihad 'Beyond Borders' identity. Each player must make shots from a series of destinations such as Bangkok, Manila, Bali or Hanoi to advance along the route; whoever completes all destinations first wins. Each make triggers a flight transition to the next location on the route.

04 · Raising the Bar

Designing for a live LED court comes with constraints a regular screen doesn't have. Every animation had to follow ASB GlassFloor's display guidelines to render correctly across the court's seams and viewing angles.
The floor also needed to run at 7168 x 3840 pixels (Main artboard rive resolution) while holding a stable frame rate. Performance and visual quality had to be built together from the start, not traded off against each other, since dropped frames, blurred motion, or jumps and visual animation bugs would be immediately visible to thousands of fans and the broadcast feed, or lead to a confused experience for the players.
The Rive structure was also built to absorb late changes. With the first live test on the court happening only days before the event, the state machines and asset structure needed to support fast fixes and adjustments without rebuilding major sections of the games from scratch.

05 · Team Collaboration

Rive development was our main focus in this project, working alongside developers, PMs, designers, and leads across ASB GlassFloor's team throughout the process. We were glad to be part of this experience and to exchange with some amazing and talented team members along the way.

05 · Result & impact

Four playable activations ran live during the breaks between games at the 2026 EuroLeague Final Four in Athens, turning downtime on the court into a moment fans could take part in directly. Instead of just watching a scoreboard or a highlight reel, the crowd could see players from the crowd compete on the LED floor itself, with the outcome visible in real time on the court.
The suite was handed over to ASB GlassFloor team as a self-contained activation kit: .riv and .rev files, built on the same production pipeline across all four games.
