Long story short, it is a local print magazine. Are you tired of doom scrolling on an app all day for local news? I was. So were others. At a time when so much (almost everything) is online, the feel of a magazine that you can flip through remains unmatched. We wanted to create a local magazine for the locals.

And that is what we did.

I headed the editorial section of this 40-page magazine. Along with writing articles and gathering news, I was in charge of selecting and editing articles sent by our numerous writers and reporters.

Over the course of one year, the magazine ran three editions and sold over 100 copies in each. My team and I gathered over 1000 USD in revenue in that year.

Our aim right now is to extent the geographical coverage of the magazine. Since it is a physical print, this comes with a ton of logistical issues. But we're getting at it!

The fourth edition of Safar Magazine is scheduled to launch on 1st March 2025.
