It was necessary to create saturation in the song, as well as to “friend” guitars and electronic instruments. First, I created a base of compression, equalization and saturation. Then I worked more closely with the drum part, as it was necessary to “glue” them together. The whole “gluing” took place on the group channels, namely on the tires. In addition, I used parallel compression on the drums to slightly enhance the effects of the “beats”. It was very important to make many instruments lively, so it was necessary to fine-tune the automation throughout the track.
On the master channel I used Neve console emulation, which also helped to add some life to the mix. Fairchild and Capitol mastering compressors were also used. All of this was also processed a bit with Pultec.
