Here we needed to create a dark atmosphere for a future pop song. We had to make something explosive and moody like the song "Unholy" by Sam Smith ft. Kim Petras. I decided to do a similar drum part, but use something "metallic" sounding, like "hitting an anvil". Then I wanted to make a smooth pre-chorus that would hint at a change of mood to lead into the drop. I made the drop voluminous and rhythmic, enhancing the effect with a vocal sample. Some Catholic chants are basically used here. Note: Arrangement only. No mixing or mastering was done.
