Minimal and user-friendly reading app for IOS, built from scratch. RareReads is a fresh spin on the conventional reading app. It's supplemented by exciting features like read parties, score point systems, and seamless donation.
RareReads was an amazing concept from the outset, but it needed the best UX/UI Design to represent the brand. Its target audience was age group 25-44 years, corporate workers / entrepreneurs who were thoroughly interested in books but couldn't find the team. It is also targeted to recover quality family time spent that most people find a lack of in their lives.
I had several roles in the process of UX/UI design for RareReads, and did it across several platforms-
I established the brand identity from the drawing board, making user personas, frustrations, solutions and more. I converted this info to a user flow and wireframes, enabling the brand to perceive its future direction. I also developed the logo, color schemes, and typography to maintain consistency and a beautiful look throughout the app.
Finally, I made the whole app and its UI Design, with over 25 screens and 3 variants to open more plausible options for the brand. I also custom-prototyped it using After Effects to ensure seamless transitions between screens.
Overall, it was the most fun experience and I have learned scores through it!
