Elara Residences - A Location-Centric Motion Concept

What if a real estate ad could show you not just the property, but everything around it?
This is a self-initiated motion concept for Elara Residences, a fictional luxury residential project located in Verdana Heights, Sector 12. The idea was simple, most real estate marketing shows you the flat. Nobody shows you the life around it.
Inspired by Google Maps UI, this animation puts location at the centre of the story. Schools, cafes, malls, hospitals, metro stations, all within minutes.
Because for most homebuyers, location isn't a feature. It's the decision.
Location is the product
Real estate brands spend most of their budget showing interiors,
marble floors, modular kitchens, swimming pools.
But research shows that homebuyers make their shortlist based on location first, property second.
This concept flips the usual real estate video format.
Instead of starting with the property, we start with the map. We show the neighbourhood before we show the home. And by the time the property card appears, the viewer already wants to live there.
Google Maps meets luxury real estate.
The UI design takes direct inspiration from Google Maps:
Dark map base, animated location pins, floating info cards, radar pulse effects, and a bottom sheet panel.
All translated into a premium motion graphics aesthetic with glassmorphism-inspired cards and smooth easing throughout.
The colour palette stays dark and minimal to let the green accent pins and glowing UI elements feel premium rather than cluttered.
Beyond the concept
This format translates directly into real-world real estate marketing, launch videos, social media ads, hoarding screen animations, or property site presentations. The location-pin storytelling works for any residential project with a strong neighbourhood advantage.
The UI language is familiar enough to feel intuitive, and premium enough to stand out in a crowded market.
A concept today. A campaign tomorrow.
FINAL SHOWCASE
BEHIND THE SCENES
 How it was built
Here's a quick look at the After Effects timeline behind this concept. Every pin drop, card animation, and UI transition was hand-built and keyframed,  no templates, no shortcuts on the craft side.

The goal of this project was to recreate a modern Google Maps-inspired location animation commonly seen in premium real estate advertisements. The focus was on creating a clean, cinematic UI using only Adobe After Effects while maintaining a premium visual language suitable for luxury property marketing. #motiongraphics #aftereffects
