The Interstitium is an internal structure found under the skin, lungs, guts, blood vessels, organs and even muscles. It is made up of a series of connected network of fluid-filled sinusial cells, interstitial fluids known as 'lymph' which functions with the lymphatic system. It also consists of connective tissues called 'collagen fibre' which is a functions as a bridge/network for cells which can be used to replace the worn-out. These structures have their roles to play in the body.
