The project’s stakeholders (a group of experienced music business professionals) required a streamlined, user-friendly registration website that would simplify attendee information collection, ticket options and date selection for their hybrid 2-day conference, centered on Streaming & Revenue Models, Intellectual Property, AI Adoption and other technological innovations in the music industry.

Synthesized data from the stakeholder interview revealed that the current experience was affected by the following pain points:

Complex and Lengthy Registration Forms: Existing registration forms are often long and confusing, leading to high drop-off rates and incomplete registrations. In addition, the current system does not allow for the input of specific attendee information, preventing tailored experiences and relevant communication.

Limited Ticket Options: Lack of flexible ticket options that cater to different attendee needs, results in reduced satisfaction and lower ticket sales.

Unclear Conference Schedules: Attendees face difficulties in selecting conference dates due to poorly presented schedules, leading to confusion and potential missed opportunities.

Poor User Experience: Existing event registration websites are often not intuitive, causing frustration and extended time-on-task, as users struggle to navigate the process.

After framing the stakeholders’ pain points, a fusion of a Competitor Analysis of multiple event registration platforms and the Brainstorming technique, was utilized to derive a series of creative solutions. The ideas were eventually streamlined based on pre-existing stakeholder requirements and available resources, to the features below.

The Rezo event registration website addresses the stakeholders’ pain points by offering a clear, concise registration process with easily accessible options for attendee information input, a variety of ticket choices, and straightforward conference date selection. This will enhance the overall user experience, increase registration completion rates, and ensure higher stakeholder satisfaction ahead of the event.
