As a Monitoring and Observability Consultant, I successfully developed and deployed a comprehensive monitoring infrastructure tailored for AKS (Azure Kubernetes Services). This innovative solution featured an automated self-discovery mechanism for Azure's multi-tenant computing resources, spanning both Linux and Windows environments.
I integrated the Prometheus exporters across the entire technical stack. This included setting up robust monitoring for a variety of databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL, as well as for diverse server platforms including Linux and Windows. The solution also encompassed application-level monitoring for key technologies like NodeJS, NGINX, and Python applications.
A pivotal part of this project was the implementation of effective monitoring protocols for Kubernetes-based clusters, ensuring high availability and performance. Additionally, I developed a specialized NodeJS-based Alert Manager client. This client was engineered to seamlessly integrate with Dynamics 365, enabling advanced alert broadcasting capabilities. This integration not only enhanced the monitoring efficiency but also significantly improved the responsiveness of the system to potential issues.
