One of the challenges of designing an AI-powered invoicing and financial management platform is translating complex data and business logic into an interface that is intuitive and easy to use.

Throughout the design process, several key challenges required careful consideration:

• Data relationships and business rules. Understanding how different entities relate to one another and how business rules influence the overall user experience.

• Edge cases and invoice statuses. Invoices can be unpaid, partially paid, paid, overdue, or cancelled. Each scenario requires the right information, interface states, and available actions.

• Complex workflows. Making multi-step processes easy to follow, helping users understand where they are, what they need to do next, and what happens after each action.

• Data-heavy interfaces. Organizing dashboards, tables, filters, and forms to present complex information clearly without overwhelming users.

• Cross-device experience. Adapting complex desktop interfaces for mobile by prioritizing essential information, simplifying navigation, and keeping key actions accessible.

For me, product design goes beyond creating individual screens. It requires understanding how the product works, how users interact with data, and how design decisions support the overall workflow.
