PlaceNew is a Toronto based multidisciplinary creative house for revolutionary brands that propel businesses, communities, and cultures forward through innovative design and strategic thinking.

As the lead designer for PlaceNew, I spearheaded the design process from inception to launch. My responsibilities included conducting user research, creating intuitive wireframes, and developing a comprehensive design system from scratch in Figma. I designed all pages with a focus on balancing aesthetic appeal and functionality. Additionally, I crafted engaging motion designs to enhance user interaction and collaborated closely with the developer to test and refine these animations, ensuring they were both visually appealing and technically feasible. Throughout the project, I managed iterative refinements, facilitated the design-to-development handoff, and played a pivotal role in the successful launch of the final product.

I created several splash page animations using After Effects, starting with a flowing liquid effect, but we finally chose an eye-catching diamond zoom animation that best showed off PlaceNew's creative style.
