Migrated a Piano Educator from 3 Platforms to 1 Kajabi System (WordPress + Shopify + Siteground)
A Full Digital Migration for a Concert Pianist and Online Educator: From Tech Exhaustion to a Clean, Fast, Professional Home
When Heather first came to me, her business was split across three separate platforms: WordPress for her website, Shopify for her digital products, and SiteGround for hosting & email and Zapier for automations. On top of that, she already had Kajabi for her courses. Four platforms. Four logins. Zero clarity.
As a Steinway Artist and concert pianist running Brillante Piano Duo, her work is world-class. With 10,000 YouTube subscribers and over 13,000 Facebook followers, her audience was growing fast. But her backend was holding her back.
What Was Not Working
Her WordPress site had been built and rebuilt by previous contractors who left behind bloated code, unoptimised images, and a performance score of 18 out of 100. She did not feel in control of it.
"WordPress is really hard. I have tried and tried. I just feel very frustrated by WordPress, and I want to be done with it."
Shopify was handling her sheet music products but added another monthly bill and another system to manage. SiteGround was her hosting. And Kajabi sat separately for courses.
Tech admin was consuming two full days every single week.
"I get up and I just work all day. I just work all the time. That's all I do. It's just work."
Her legal pages were linked via a Google Drive file: a real security risk for a growing brand. And with no time left after maintenance, her signature course and monthly membership sat unfinished.
What She Wanted
Her vision was simple:
"I've been on Shopify, and then I've got my hosting on SiteGround, and then I've got my courses on Kajabi, and it's just, it's confusing. I just want to be done with it."
She wanted one home for everything. A platform she could manage without a webmaster. And the time back to finally launch her courses.
The Migration Process
Over one month, I completed a full consolidation of her entire digital business into Kajabi. This included:
Rebuilding all 63 pages inside Kajabi from scratch
Migrating 22 blog posts with custom CSS for a branded sidebar across every post
Transferring 35+ digital sheet music products into a new system
Optimising every single image through Tinypng and Squoosh before upload
Fixing and rebuilding all legal pages properly inside Kajabi
Writing custom CSS to correct Kajabi's native headline sizing
Recording Loom walkthrough videos for handover training
Running a full Zoom training session so Heather could manage everything independently
This was not a simple copy and paste job. It was untangling years of disconnected platforms, fixing what previous contractors had left behind, and rebuilding everything to a standard that would actually perform.
Key Challenges
Heather had three major blockers:
1. A Failing Website
Her site scored 18 out of 100 on PageSpeed. Unoptimised images, messy elementor code, and plugin bloat from previous contractors meant every visitor was hitting a slow, frustrating experience.
Fix: Every image was optimised before upload. All pages were rebuilt cleanly inside Kajabi with no legacy code carried over.
2. A Security Risk Nobody Had Caught
Her legal pages were not real pages. They were Google Drive links: accessible, editable, and vulnerable.
Fix: Dedicated legal pages built properly inside Kajabi with no external dependencies.
3. Design Limitations Inside Kajabi
Kajabi's native design settings produce oversized headlines and no sidebar functionality for blogs. The result looked generic and unprofessional out of the box.
Fix: Custom CSS written to resize headlines across all pages and build a consistent branded sidebar across all 22 blog posts:something Kajabi does not offer natively.
Testing and Handover
After the build, a full Loom video walkthrough was recorded covering every section of the new site. A live Zoom training session covered how to update pages, add products, and manage blog posts without needing outside help.
The goal was for Heather to be fully independent after this project. No ongoing webmaster. No dependency.
The Transformation
Once the new site went live, the difference was immediate.
Site speed jumped from 18 to 85+ out of 100
Four platforms and their monthly costs replaced by one
Two full days per week reclaimed from tech admin
All legal pages secured inside the platform
A clean, fast, professional site that matched the quality of her teaching
Her words after delivery:
"I'm very happy with the final result. It looks so much more professional than my old site! Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
After the Migration
With Kajabi as her single home, Heather could finally focus on what she had been putting off:
Finishing and launching her signature course, Total Piano Technique
Building out a monthly membership for group piano coaching
Growing her audience without tech getting in the way
"I want to just teach everyone all at once. I want to go live once a month. That's it. This is a new platform and it's a way to teach and scale."
This was not just a migration. It was removing the thing that had been standing between Heather and the business she was already capable of running.
Her Testimonial
"I couldn't do it without you. Thank you. I appreciate you Manu!"
