Visual Identity for Kees, a climbers association dedicated to fostering a global community of passionate mountain climbers and hikers. We aim to create a strong and cohesive brand identity that resonates with outdoor enthusiasts.

The Story

Kees brand's story centers around two brothers, Jakub and Nathan Kowalski, who shared a love for outdoor adventures and mountain climbing. Tragically, Nathan lost his life in an airplane crash on his way home to Warsaw, Poland. Left devastated and with a heavy heart, Jakub was determined to honor the memory of his late brother and fulfill the dreams they had pledged to achieve together.

After the funeral, he embarked on a courageous journey to accomplish their shared bucket list of conquering the highest mountain in western part of Warsaw, Szczęśliwicka Hill. As word of his unwavering determination spread, few local community members in Warsaw, deeply moved by his story, decided to join Jakub on his quest to reach the top of the mountain. Rest in peace, Nathan 🕯️💔

Jakub now believes that mountains are not just geographical features but repositories of human dreams, aspirations, and triumphs.

However, Kees is now committed to making these journeys accessible to climbers of all backgrounds, forging lasting bonds among adventurers, and instilling a deep sense of responsibility for the natural world.

The fusion of the sun ☀️ and mountain 🏔️ elements represents the convergence of nature and human endeavor. The sun's gentle embrace of the mountain epitomizes the climbers' connection with the environment, the pursuit of enlightenment through exploration, and the shared journey toward higher summits.

Each letter in K.E.E.S represents a key aspect of mountain climbing — Knowledge, Endurance, Exploration, and Safety. This acronym serves as a memorable and concise way to convey the important elements and values associated with mountain climbing.
