Introduction

I developed the

official website

for the Sailing Team of the University of Pavia, a university sports group dedicated to sailing. The website, created using the WordPress platform, serves as an online hub for students and sailing enthusiasts, providing information on the team's activities, events, competitions, and updates.

Key Features:

Responsive Design: The site is optimized for accessibility on all devices, ensuring a smooth user experience on desktops, tablets, and smartphones.

Content Management: I configured and customized the WordPress CMS to allow the team to independently manage content such as articles, photo galleries, and news updates.

SEO and Optimization: Basic SEO techniques were implemented to improve the site’s visibility on search engines.

Social Media Integration: Direct links to the team’s social media profiles were added to enhance interaction and content sharing.

Technologies Used:

WordPress: I leveraged WordPress’s flexibility to create a dynamic and easily updatable website.

HTML/CSS: Customized the WordPress theme using HTML and CSS to align the site's aesthetics with the team’s branding.

Plugins: Implemented plugins for event management and social media sharing.

Results:

The website has enhanced the visibility of the UniPV Sailing Team, facilitating communication with members and promoting the group's activities both within and outside the university.
