OUT OF ORDER — WRONG ERA. RIGHT FIT. I saw on INSTAGRAM a design brief for modern retro brand , so I thought maybe I make both challenge together, I didn't have time to make full brand identity , but I think I could demonstrate what RECRAFT can do
What if a 17th-century painting became the visual direction for a contemporary streetwear brand?
I took Johannes Vermeer's The Milkmaid (c. 1660) and used its distinctive natural lighting, rich colors, aged textures and intimate atmosphere to develop a visual world for OUT OF ORDER, a fictional streetwear label built around breaking conventions. Using a custom Recraft V4 Style, I explored how that historical aesthetic could work across modern fashion photography, statement outfits, accessories and lifestyle campaigns. The campaign images were generated in Recraft, demonstrating how the platform can establish a consistent creative direction across different subjects and compositions. This is only an initial exploration—the same approach could be developed into a complete brand identity, clothing collections, packaging, advertising and seasonal campaigns.
Historical artwork: Johannes Vermeer, The Milkmaid, c. 1660, Rijksmuseum.
