⭐️ Idea: This project focuses on designing a modern and engaging website for Netzwerk Preussen in Westfalen — a historical tourism platform connecting visitors with museums, exhibitions, and cultural sites across Westphalia, Germany. The goal was to create a digital experience that makes historical tourism accessible, inviting, and easy to navigate — inspiring people to explore Prussian history and culture in person.
⭐️ Our Role: We designed a complete multi-page website experience including the Homepage, Projects Listing, and Project Detail pages. Our role covered UX planning, information architecture, visual design, and accessibility — ensuring the platform serves both local visitors and international tourists looking to explore historical destinations across the Westphalia region.
⭐️ Design Strategy: Our design strategy was built around cultural identity, destination discovery, and visitor accessibility. We chose a bold Prussian blue palette to reflect the historical character of the brand, paired with warm gold/amber accents on CTAs to create an inviting and trustworthy experience that encourages exploration.
The Homepage opens with a bold, engaging hero — "Entdecke die Preußin in dir" (Discover the Prussian in you) — instantly connecting visitors to the historical tourism narrative. A museum directory grid, three key action pillars (Visit, Research, Time Travel), and a curated projects section guide tourists through available destinations and exhibitions with clarity and ease.
The Projects Page presents exhibitions and touring events through a clean card-based grid — featuring historical imagery, event dates, and clear CTAs — making it simple for tourists to browse and plan visits to multiple sites.
The Project Detail Page delivers all essential tourist information in one place — full-width exhibition visuals, structured visitor info cards (Dates, Location, Opening Hours), and an FAQ section — reducing friction and helping visitors plan their historical tourism experience confidently.
Multilingual support (German/English) and integrated audio accessibility features ensure the platform welcomes both domestic and international historical tourists.
⭐️ Our Services: We design modern websites for historical tourism platforms, cultural destinations, and heritage travel organizations — focusing on clean UI, intuitive UX, and accessible design that turns digital visitors into real-world explorers.
