Designing for the Performing Arts: A user - centered approach
For this project, the objective was to craft a landing page that doesn’t just look good but also performs under real user expectations.
I started by understanding who the audience is and what they’re looking for at each stage of their visit. From there, I designed a flow that guides users from first glance to meaningful action, balancing emotion with clarity.
Strategic Structure & Messaging
Rather than treat the landing page as a single scroll, I organised the content hierarchy around visitor intent, capturing interest early, building trust through concise storytelling, and closing with clear next steps.
Visual Engagement with Purpose
High-quality imagery, considered spacing, and subtle motion help tell the brand story without distracting from the core messaging. Each visual element reinforces the narrative, not just decorates it.
Responsive & Optimised Experience
Recognising a large portion of traffic is mobile, I built the layout and interactions to feel intuitive across all screens. Attention to responsiveness and performance ensures users stay engaged instead of dropping off.
This case study showcases not only the final visuals but the reasoning behind every decision from layout and tempo to interaction design so future clients can clearly understand how I approach user-centered, performance-driven web design.
