Project Overview When the Museum “Art and Facts” (MAF) launched in St. Petersburg, they needed a visual anchor for their new 1200-square-meter interdisciplinary space. The prompt was abstract: create a unifying metaphor that bridges science, nature, technology, memory, and art.
Over two intense months of solo production, I designed, directed, and animated an immersive visual essay that now serves as the permanent, beating heart of the exhibition. My goal was to take the museum's eclectic artifacts and weave them into an emotionally resonant journey through time.
The Visual Journey Rather than a standard showcase, the video is a fluid evolution of scale and history. The narrative begins at the microscopic level, slowly expanding into ancient history as physical relics emerge from the sands of time. From there, the timeline accelerates, leaping forward into the era of artificial intelligence and futuristic architecture.
As the journey unfolds, it weaves through surreal interpretations of natural environments and real-world museum artifacts, ultimately culminating in a massive jump to the cosmos. It’s an exploration of how tradition, human imagination, and technology all occupy the same continuous timeline.
