As a Product Designer, my mission with CineOne was to create a powerful yet intuitive video editing platform that seamlessly balances functionality and user experience. Through a design process focused on user-centric research, iterative prototyping, and visual clarity, CineOne emerged as a tool that offers both simplicity for beginners and depth for seasoned professionals. Every decision in the design process was crafted to ensure that CineOne empowers users to work efficiently while unlocking their creative potential.

The timeline was designed to prioritize clarity and usability. I developed a clean, organized layout featuring a color-coded system to accommodate the complexity of multi-layered projects. This design allows users to easily manage video, audio, transitions, and effects, with drag-and-drop functionality for quick and intuitive editing. The multi-track design offers flexibility for both simple and advanced editing.

The media library was designed with ease of use in mind. The interface simplifies asset organization and displays detailed metadata for each file (resolution, duration, etc.). This allows users to quickly browse and access their media, enhancing overall efficiency. Sorting, filtering, and searching functionality ensure a streamlined workflow and reduce time spent on asset management.

The color grading suite offers a comprehensive set of tools for professional-grade image enhancements. The interface is designed to be visually clear, with real-time previews, histograms, and sliders for exposure, contrast, and saturation adjustments. These tools offer the flexibility to make subtle corrections or more dramatic, creative changes while maintaining a straightforward workflow.

The color wheels provide a clear and intuitive interface for fine-tuning hue, temperature, and luminance. CineOne was designed to support industry-standard LUTs, giving users the ability to apply professional-grade color presets with ease, further enhancing their creative control over the final product.

CineOne features a robust set of Curves and Adjustment Layers, designed for non-destructive editing and precise control over highlights, midtones, and shadows. The interface for these tools is kept minimal and clean, allowing for quick adjustments while maintaining visual clarity throughout the editing process.
