The poster was created as a design test for myself and as a homage to Sony as a fan of the company and its gaming products/linage.

Introduction
The idea for this poster came about during the marketing ramp for Sony's PlayStation 5. I forgot how I happened upon the original PlayStation 2 poster (seen in side-by-side below), but it clicked for me to test myself in modernizing this poster with Sony's new console.
