In partnership with Tooltester, I wrote and edited an article on how to use ChatGPT within a business context.
Through research and practical experience, I built a resource with over 70 ChatGPT prompts that users could utilize to get more out of their data. In addition, I introduced readers to ChatGPT and tied it to marketing strategies for small business owners.
The article was published on Tooltester's blog, providing readers with an authoritative resource from a trusted online publication.
Project Process
Client Consultation
The team at Tooltester reached out to me via Twitter to discuss creating a resource for marketing teams and business owners using ChatGPT for their work. The team wanted the content to have an authoritative, engaging tone and offer insights into how to use ChatGPT for marketing strategies.
To create the content, I researched the ChatGPT platform and its applications - including how different prompts worked within the platform's UI - and considered how I could apply this knowledge to the goal of creating a resource for small businesses.
Article Research
Next, I developed an outline for the content that the Tooltester team could review to ensure we were on the same page. This outline was built on research I had done into the best practices of using ChatGPT for marketing.
I conducted further research t understand how small businesses were using ChatGPT, and what sort of challenges they faced when doing so. This allowed me to bring real-world examples and solutions into the content, making it more valuable and informative for readers.
Finally, we determined what keywords were necessary to target in order to make the content SEO-friendly. We chose terms that would be both relevant and effective for our intended audience, allowing us to maximize the reach of the piece.
Once I had all my research together, I was ready to start writing!
Article Writing
I wrote the article within Google Docs and SurferSEO, focusing on the keywords we had determined during the research phase. I then used prompts from my experience within ChatGPT to develop more prompts for each use case. The result was an article that covered a wide range of topics, with informative examples and helpful solutions.
Finally, I made sure to include various SEO best practices, including proper formatting, heading tags, and internal links. I also included target keywords within the content in a natural manner that would be useful for readers and search engine algorithms.
Once I finished writing, I reviewed the article and sent the initial draft to the Tooltester team.
The article was approved quickly and is now published online for their target audience to access!
