Distinct Personal Portfolio Design

About the project:

OmarAlsamahi.com is my personal portfolio, designed and built to present my work as a product designer with a strong visual identity and a clear product-thinking narrative.
The goal was not to create a generic designer portfolio. I wanted the site to feel like a personal world: dark, cinematic, editorial, and memorable, while still making the work easy to scan for recruiters, founders, and design leads.
The visual direction combines classical sculpture, monochrome art direction, soft motion, and a restrained interface system. The result is a portfolio that feels distinctive without sacrificing usability.

What was completed:

I designed and built the full portfolio experience in Framer, including:
A cinematic hero section with strong personal positioning.
A custom dark visual system using sculpture, clouds, depth, and subtle grain.
A clear case-study structure for fintech, SaaS, AR, game UI, and consumer product work.
Responsive layouts for desktop and mobile.
Micro-interactions and motion details that support the atmosphere without distracting from the work.
Navigation, contact points, resume access, and project discovery flow.
A portfolio narrative that balances product strategy, UI craft, and visual storytelling.

The result:

The final website gives my work a stronger identity and helps position me beyond “just UI screens.”
Instead of presenting projects as disconnected visuals, the portfolio frames them as part of a consistent design practice: product thinking, interface craft, motion, storytelling, and attention to detail.
The site works as both a hiring asset and a personal brand piece, giving visitors a clear sense of what I design, how I think, and the type of product experiences I want to create.

Why this project matters:

Most portfolios try to look clean. I wanted this one to feel remembered.
The challenge was balancing atmosphere with clarity. The website had to feel cinematic and personal, but still be practical for hiring managers who need to quickly understand my skills, projects, and role.
Every visual choice supports that balance: the Greek statue represents craft and discipline, the dark environment gives the site a premium feel, and the simple structure keeps the focus on the work.

Need a portfolio like this?

I design and build personal portfolio websites for designers, creatives, and founders who want their work to feel sharper, more memorable, and easier to hire from.
From visual direction to Framer build, I can help turn your work into a portfolio that feels intentional, polished, and personal.
