‘Banchan’ is the Korean word for side dishes that accompany regular family meals in Korea. The challenge was to introduce this fairly unfamiliar side of Korean food with a friendly but polished brand image that could set it apart.
The logotype for LITTLE BANCHAN SHOP was derived from the shapes and forms of the Korean alphabet. The 'itt' form a set of chopsticks with a rest and a spoon.
The pouch packaging was designed to be resealable and double as signage and describe the food and usage, as well as easy to print and apply. Also, the Korean phonetic name would also feature on the labels as Korean food was becoming more popularized in social media.
