Rosslyn Avenue Garden aims to provide homes for families with Alzheimer members while ensuring that the compound is eco friendly as well. To ensure that such a message and purpose is communicated to the right audience, we propose that this information be proposed on a video and a website. The video will focus on gathering awareness of the project, inspiring people to join the cause of the project. Attracting their attention and providing them with a platform to search for more information and support the cause of the project.

Having multi generational homes aids in reducing loneliness. People are becoming segregated by age as cities are packed with one- and two-bedroom flats. A family under one roof enables practical living. (Levy, 2020) Families are able to pay one set of bills for council tax, internet, water, electricity and gas.  Reducing complications – it is harder to get the best mortgage deal if more than two people are listed on the property title deeds, and many companies will not lend to people over 70 or 75. Intergenerational homes enable families to live together. Dementia friendly homes should allow access and use to all persons, regardless of disability, age or gender.

The landscaping design would result in the planting of additional trees and shrubs, providing additional shared and private amenity. No trees or vegetation of high public amenity value would be lost from the site as a consequence of the proposed development. Using solar panels will be used to achieve zero carbon.

The recent rise in multi-generational homes has been primarily driven by millennials living with their parents. Additionally with increasing house prices and worsening affordability, this is likely to continue. Yet, an ageing population will have an increasing impact; currently there are around 11.8 million people over 65 in the UK and forecasts suggest this will rise to 18.5 million by 2040. According to research “Multi-generational housing is on the increase; 1.8 million households now span two or more adult generations, up 38% since 2009. There are many factors driving this increase, including providing support for older family members, a lack of retirement homes, help with childcare and increasing housing costs. (Tapper, 2019)

To find the right type of audience, it is important to understand the target audience's purchase intention, relate with the audience through understanding their interest. (Carmicheal, 2020) The findings will aid in understanding the subculture of the target group who identifies a shared experience and purpose. Rossyln Avenue being a multigenerational home community will target millenials who are searching for a property with a family oriented community that cares for the environment around the oval station. The neighbourhood should cater to the older generation due to the high number of older communities in the area. Additionally, the neighbourhood promotes sustainable living through eco-friendly homes.
