BitcoinIRA 💰

Plan for your retirement by investing and trading crypto
Information overload can deter users. How do you maintain high quality UX with the right information?
BitcoinIRA’s established web platform was well thought out, but they found there were a few bottlenecks in the funnel to get users to sign up. As a crypto trading and retirement investing firm, there was a high barrier to entry for onboarding new users. They wanted to turn their existing dashboard and trading functionalities into an app. One main features of the app are to allow users to register which has multiple steps that requires sensitive information such as SS# and ID verification and uploading funds to a user’s account. The other features allowed users to use those funds to buy, sell, and swap cryptocurrencies.
To lower the barrier to entry for users we made sure the app had a logged out/not signed up version so users could understand the features without having to go through the registration process. These features included live prices of currencies that users could trade. For the registration process we wanted to keep it simple. Inputting account information is the only required step. Verifying ID or uploading funds could be done later. Once a user was onboarded, they could buy, sell, and trade their funds, access BitcoinIRA’s knowledge base, and see all of the cryptocurrencies available to trade so user’s could start saving for their retirement. Overall, the app has many features so our goal was to create an understandable UX so new and returning BitcoinIRA users could use the app intuitively, explore and learn, or quickly trade when the time was right.
