Tierra Brand Project

Tierra is a craft dark-chocolate brand born in the heart of Colombia’s cacao belt, where small-batch farmers cultivate heirloom Criollo and Trinitario beans under the canopy of the Amazon. Built on a philosophy of “forest to bar,” Tierra partners directly with indigenous communities to source single-origin cacao that’s stone-ground and stone-conched for over 48 hours, unlocking deep notes of blackberry, panela sugar and toasted almond. Its sleek, earth-toned packaging nods to the rich biodiversity of the rainforest—each bar a celebration of sustainable agriculture, cultural heritage and the raw power of Colombian terroir.
The Tierra mark is a deliberate homage to the Amazon’s living geometry. Its circular form mirrors the forest canopy seen from above, while the radial array of interlocking shapes recalls both the tessellated patterns of tropical leaves and the winding tributaries of the Amazon River. Each bold stroke and void in the design references traditional indigenous motifs—echoing carved woodwork and textile weaves—yet is abstracted into a modern grid that speaks to Tierra’s commitment to thoughtful, sustainable craft. Even the negative spaces between the lines suggest the silhouette of cacao pods nestled under the lush foliage, reminding us that every bar begins its journey deep within the rainforest’s verdant heart.
Tierra’s visual identity draws its strength from the very heart of the Amazon: a base of deep “Rainforest Green” echoes the filtered light beneath the canopy, while a warm “Clay Tan” recalls rich jungle soils and the husks of cacao pods. A bright “Mint Canopy” accent—suggestive of young leaf shoots—lends vibrancy when needed, and a crisp “Graphite Black” anchors the logo and wordmark with modern clarity. On light backgrounds the black emblem stands out sharply; on dark green or tan, it inverts to the clay tone, ensuring the mark always feels both cohesive and dynamic. This color system frames a circular logo inspired by the natural geometry of leaf veins, river tributaries, and indigenous textile patterns, while supporting imagery—watercolor florals, finely stippled banana leaves, heliconia blooms, and a jaguar’s spotted coat—immerses you in the rainforest’s lush drama. Together, these elements evoke Tierra’s commitment to sustainable craft, cultural heritage, and the wild beauty of Colombian dark chocolate
