🧩 The Problem
Bounce was generating a high volume of inbound leads via paid ads and directing them to a WordPress-based lead funnel. But the team faced three key challenges:
Lead Quality Uncertainty – Many leads submitted forms but didn’t meet the credit thresholds to qualify for Bounce’s services.
Manual Credit Checks – Agents were manually reaching out or checking credit data later in the funnel, which delayed follow-up and created inefficiencies.
Wasted Time & Budget – Hours were being spent chasing unqualified leads, lowering ROI and slowing down the pipeline.
⚙️ The Solution
I built an automated credit pulling and lead filtering system, fully integrated with their existing WordPress funnel and CRM. This system instantly pulled real-time credit data from verified sources and made immediate qualification decisions — with zero agent input.
🧠 Workflow Breakdown
Lead Form Submission (WordPress Funnel)
The funnel collected essential lead details: name, phone number, date of birth, and zip code.
Upon submission, a webhook was triggered to start the automation.
Real-Time Credit Data Pull (Spinwheel API) •
The system made a secure call to the Spinwheel API, using the lead’s phone number + DOB to Pull current debt amount
Retrieve credit score (FICO / Vantage)
Access account-level details (open accounts, balances, delinquencies, etc.)
Error handling was built in for API timeouts, invalid inputs, or low confidence matches.
Lead Qualification Logic
Based on Bounce’s internal rules, the system ran custom logic:
Minimum credit score.
Debt amount over $10K
CRM Sync + Lead Routing • Qualified leads were immediately sent to the CRM (Close.com) with: • Full credit report snapshot • Qualification status • Priority tags (e.g., “High Debt, High Score”) • Source info and UTM data • A webhook also triggered internal alerts (Slack/email) for hot leads
📊 Results & Impact • 5+ hours/day saved by eliminating manual credit checks • Higher conversion rates due to faster follow-up and cleaner lead pool • Instant decisioning at the top of the funnel — within seconds of submission • Improved lead quality = better outcomes for the sales team • Zero delay between form submission and qualification
