Enhancing and Expanding Features of SMS Platform

As the IT Project Manager for the "Enhancing and Expanding Features of SMS Platform" project, I undertook a critical role in overseeing its execution from November 15, 2023, to May 16, 2024. With a budget of 850,000 Ghanaian Cedis (GHC) allocated by project owner Hubtel, our primary objective was to elevate the capabilities of our SMS platform significantly.

My responsibilities encompassed leading a multidisciplinary team, ensuring seamless collaboration across departments, and meticulously managing project timelines and resources. Key focuses included enhancing user interface design, expanding functionality to support new services, and integrating robust security measures to meet regulatory standards and enhance customer trust.

Throughout the project lifecycle, effective communication and stakeholder management were paramount. Regular updates and progress reports kept all stakeholders informed and engaged, fostering alignment with Hubtel's strategic goals and customer expectations. Agile methodologies were employed to adapt swiftly to evolving requirements and optimize project outcomes.

By project completion, we successfully delivered a revamped SMS platform that not only met stringent quality standards but also positioned our organization as a leader in delivering innovative fintech solutions. This achievement not only bolstered our competitive edge but also laid a solid foundation for future growth and continued excellence in meeting the dynamic needs of our customers in the telecommunications and financial technology sectors.
