Bath Entrepreneurs

Overview

Bath Entrepreneurs is the official entrepreneurship society at the University of Bath, a top 10 UK university across multiple league tables as of 2025. With over 400 members and even more attending events unofficially, it is one of the university’s largest and most active societies.

The Challenge

Bath Entrepreneurs lacked a centralized platform to showcase their events and programs. With over 400 members, event details were scattered across social media and WhatsApp groups, making it hard to stay informed.
Key issues included:
- No central hub: Information was fragmented across different platforms.
- Disorganized sign-ups: Event registration links were difficult to track.
- Limited visibility for programs: Flagship initiatives like Elev8 lacked a dedicated space to highlight mentors and success stories.
Without a website, engagement suffered, and the society struggled to communicate its value effectively.

Strategy

We began with a call with Miguel, the society’s president, to understand their needs. He emphasized the need for a structured platform to unify event details, simplify sign-ups, and showcase key programs.
Following the call we created a five-page site map covering the homepage and pages for the individual programs.
After drafting the content, we reviewed it with Miguel and the committee, refining the structure based on their feedback. With the foundation set, we moved on to execution.

Execution

With a clear plan in place, we moved quickly to bring the website to life. The design process began in Figma, where we created the homepage and iterated based on feedback from the committee. Each revision focused on improving usability, ensuring the design effectively highlighted upcoming events, programs, and ways for students to get involved. Once the structure was finalized, we moved into development.
The site was built in Framer, allowing for smooth animations and a seamless user experience. Within three weeks, we connected it to a custom domain and launched the homepage, giving Bath Entrepreneurs a professional online presence for the first time. But this was just the beginning—we soon expanded the website to include dedicated subpages for Programs, Events, Student Founders, and Partners, ensuring all key initiatives had a centralized space.
To make content management easy, we utilized CMS collections to dynamically showcase important information. This allowed us to highlight Elev8 mentors and Initi8 internship opportunities, giving students an easy way to explore available resources. As new events and programs were introduced, the CMS made it simple to update the site without major redevelopment.
Even after launch, we continued to provide ongoing maintenance and support, keeping the site up to date with the latest events and initiatives. With this new, structured platform, Bath Entrepreneurs now had a reliable way to engage members, simplify event sign-ups, and showcase the impact of their programs—all in one place.
