EV Charging Mobile App Redesign

For this class project, I was tasked with improving the overall usability and visual design of the mobile app. The design was very basic which provides the community lacked visual appeal. Current apps lack the organization needed to accommodate the needs of its visitors. Within eight weeks, we researched, ideated, prototyped, and tested our way to a design proposal, targeting the resource-searching experience of library visitors.

My Role/UI/UX Designer

I was responsible for designing the UI, UX, rendering layouts, motion . I primarily worked with project manager and developers. I created frameworks and prototypes to share the vision, design principles. This helped to conceptualize ideas, gain alignment, and drive decision making. In my recent project, I took on the task of refreshing and improving the UI designs of an existing mobile application to enhance the user experience. Additionally, I ensured seamless integration of new features into the existing UI language when they were introduced. These efforts were focused on increasing user satisfaction and strengthening the effectiveness of the application.

Stakeholders

In this project, it was necessary for me to maintain constant communication with my stakeholders to keep them informed about my progress and to receive feedback proactively. To identify any limitations or constraints and to propose solutions to overcome any obstacles, I consulted with software engineers to obtain engineering feedback. I also received creative feedback from regular design critiques with the mobile team. Additionally, I held regular meetings with Lead Designer to receive feedback.
