Back in 2019, on a random night, I felt like doing something new while jamming in FL Studio.
So, after some attempts, I came up with a piano loop after trying to make it simple yet suitable as much as possible.
Then, I thought of adding some drums just to keep up with the rhythm, and I did so after experimenting with some kits.
At that point, I had solid ground, but I could not go any further! and after some arrogance, I decided to save the project and go to bed.
Next morning, I did not return to it right away. I took some time to think about what I wanted people to feel while listening, and I have to tell you, that was it for me!
Despite what the majority of producers do when they are stuck within their projects and cannot proceed any further, I decided to add a saxophone plugin after trying some loops on top of it and proceeded to record whatever my fingers were playing on the keyboard.
It did not take so long before I got some decent results!
I was fairly happy with what I had so far, so I got to the boring work of mixing and mastering right away.
FAST FORWARD A YEAR AFTER, I was in contact with some local bands at that time, and I, along with them, tried to play it live. Let me tell you, it was not so easy to put things together and perform it correctly.
After some weeks of practicing, we reached a point of fairly good performance, so I decided to give it a try and try my luck.
I reached out to some places that typically have jazz bands performing in them and landed a deal with a well-known restaurant built in Greek style within our home city.
We agreed to record that live performance, and let me tell you, that night was epic.
The day has come, and there were many bands performing. After awhile, our turn has come.
I was so proud of them, as I'm seeing them perform in such a relaxing and beautiful place. The atmosphere was incredible.
After that night, when I decided to release the track, I felt the live/acoustic version was way better than the original one I produced. Don't get me wrong, it was good too, but it lacked that feeling of live sounds. Do you feel me?
So, without hesitation, I decided to release the acoustic version, which was recorded that night!
And today, I present it to you, as this one especially carries some good memories.
