Overview

GrafiTalk is a local-first desktop tool for turning raw project context into clear, reviewable client and stakeholder updates. It helps freelancers and solo developers communicate progress without rewriting technical work from scratch.

The problem

Developers often know exactly what changed in a project, but translating that work into a clear update takes extra time and effort. Notes, implementation details, and handoff information can be hard to turn into a message that is ready for a client or stakeholder to review.

The solution

GrafiTalk organizes the work into a deliberate communication flow:
Context → Template → Draft → Review → Copy / Export
Users paste or import project notes, choose a communication template, generate a structured draft, then review it before sharing. GrafiTalk prepares the communication. Humans send it.

Core workflow

1. Context

Project notes can be entered manually or imported, giving each communication draft a project-specific starting point.

2. Template

The workspace supports templates for Client Updates, Bug Reports, Handovers, Release Notes, and Weekly Summaries. Templates give recurring communications a consistent structure while leaving the final wording reviewable.

3. Draft and review

GrafiTalk turns the supplied context and selected template into a structured draft. The user reviews the result before it is copied or exported.

4. Copy or export

Completed drafts can be copied or exported as TXT, Markdown, JSON, or PDF, making the output usable across different client and project workflows.

Key features

Project-based communication workspace
Context import and manual notes
Multiple communication templates
Structured draft and review flow
Copy and export to TXT, Markdown, JSON, and PDF
Translation and read-aloud options
Optional local AI support through Ollama and Qwen

Local-first AI, when needed

GrafiTalking is an optional AI layer for users who want additional language assistance. The core workflow works without AI. When enabled, Ollama and Qwen run locally to support the communication process while keeping the product useful as a standalone, non-AI workflow.

Quality and reliability

GrafiTalk includes 165 automated tests, supporting the core workflows around structured communication, review, and export.

Graf-Id integration

GrafiTalk can import structured project handoff information from Graf-Id, turning technical project state into a cleaner communication draft. The two tools can work together when a project needs context recovery and communication support, while GrafiTalk remains useful on its own.

What I built

GrafiTalk demonstrates my work in desktop application development, structured product workflows, local AI integration, import and export features, automated testing, and developer-focused product design. It reflects a backend and product-development mindset: turn messy project context into a clear, reviewable process that people can trust before they communicate externally.
