My clients wanted a set of 2 couches for his new apartment. They wanted the sofas to be modern, elegant and minimal. They referenced mid century furniture and they expressed their love for Japanese design.

The design consists of two, almost identical, set of sofas made with walnut wood for the structure and black leather for the backrest and seat. The idea behind the design was to have low sofas that looked minimal and followed that Japanese aesthetic; however it was important not to compromise the commodity of the backrest. To achieve this, the backrests were built with a system that allowed them to go up and down just my pulling them.
