Digital Transformation Project for Hostel

Colo Colo Smart Hostel, nestled in the vibrant heart of San Sebastian, Spain, is designed for the adventurous, the environmentally aware, and the tech-savvy. Their innovative 'Casitas,' provide an immersive, local experience for the citytrotter seeking more than just a stay.

The challenge was to create a cohesive digital ecosystem, making the guest experience at Colo Colo not just comfortable, but seamless, exciting, and memorable.

As Tech Lead I oversaw and guided the web development team, ensuring the site perfectly represented Colo Colo's identity. The site was developed in Webflow and directly integrated with the Property Management System (PMS) for a streamlined user experience.

A series of smart locks were introduced across the hostel - from locker locks to sleeping area access. Each guest was assigned a unique code, reducing the cognitive load of remembering multiple codes, ensuring a smoother, safer stay.

We implemented a self-service kiosk for check-in and checkout, enabling guests to begin their Colo Colo experience with minimal hassle and maximal efficiency.

Each Casita was equipped with a tablet, loaded with engaging content for an immersive guest experience. It's more than just a stay; it's a story waiting to unfold.

To add an extra layer of convenience, we provided a mobile/web app that guests could use as a digital key for all access points, enabling an effortless, secure transition through various areas.

All these implementations, and technologies were interconnected with the PMS we implemented for Colo Colo, enabling seamless operations, and enhancing the guest experience. A unparalleled property management experience.
